She is also the CEO of VAS Pharmaceutical limited, a Nigerian world class Pharmaceutical company, an inherited family business engaged in the distribution and supply of health services. It is set up to be the preferred ONE-STOP SHOP for all health needs both curative and preventive, also providing professional health services to the host community.
She specializes in providing accounting, audit, finance, strategy management services to SME’s. She helps them improve on corporate governance, develop business processes and implement growth strategies to make them attractive for funding and become prosperous organisations. With over 15 year’s experience undertaking different, projects and job positions that span across various sectors: Automobile, Financial services, IT & Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Educational, Pharmaceutical and Consumer sector ( Retail & Wholesale) . Amaka Akinteye has built so many businesses from scratch to finish, restructured failing business, reorganized businesses for growth opportunities.
She graduated with a first class Bachelor degree in Applied accounting from Oxford Brookes University UK, a Second class upper Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Enugu State University. She went on to bag a Master of Science degree from Sheffield Hallam University UK with Distinction, specializing in Finance and Investment, after which she received an inspirational student award for academic and leadership excellence from Sheffield Business School, UK. She is a chartered accountant, member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN); and she is a fellow of Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) UK. She completed a research paper on customer complaint handling process, identified as an important process that can help a bank gain competitive advantage. This research has caught the eyes of a number of researchers in this field, hence the call to co-author some research.
Amaka Akinteye is a writer, focusing on poetry and story-telling both fictional and non-fictional stories, research papers. She has for a long time shared this talent with friends, family and colleagues, now she is sharing it with the world to relish the beauty hidden within. She is a devoted Christian, a member of covenant center business school and a community group head in The covenant Nation church.
